Mike Doherty The Editor of the Travellers Times Magazine ,Has wrote to the West Midlands Police asking for answers under the "Freedom of Informations Act."

His letter which appears on the left has been prompted by the horrendous incident that left an incident Travellerman needing an emergency operation to his leg after he was attacked by a police dog from the K9 Unit.

Mr Doherty is asking for the statistics on the use of these K9 units where Travellers or Roma Gypsies are involved.

But should the Police be training dogs to be so aggressive especially as it has been stated that a dog that tastes blood can change from being obiedient to the handler  to being non responsive to a stop command after it has drawn and tasted the blood of a person .
